What we're thinking about this week

“Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth,

‘You owe me.’

Look what happens with a love like that!

It lights up the whole sky."

We're thinking about Chrysalis House.

In case you didn't know, your monthly membership fee is going toward a REALLY good cause.

We're busy these days trying to keep some really special women and their children fed, and we couldn't do it without you.

The women who go through the Chrysalis House recovery program graduate into Chrysalis House apartments while they get on their feet. These transitional apartments allow them to bloom in a supportive environment where they are able to live with their children, find jobs, and have assistance with childcare during the day.

The transitional time these women are in is new for them. They are newly navigating being their children's primary caregivers, working full-time jobs, paying rent, and living healthy, balanced, sober lives on their own.  Due to the COVID19 crisis, they have all found themselves unemployed and without any childcare support.

With your help, we are able to keep these women and their children fed during this difficult time.

Each membership fee directly supports a family, and meals and groceries are dropped off each week.

Chrysalis House is Kentucky’s oldest and largest licensed substance abuse treatment program for women.  They specialize in treating pregnant and parenting women, and, most importantly, these mothers in recovery are able to keep their newborns and toddlers on-site with them while in residential treatment.
